Over the past 50 years Oakfield has established a strong relationship with the local areas of Altrincham, Hale, Bowdon and surrounding areas of Manchester and Cheshire. We encourage our children to engage with the people and places in our beautiful town, and take their place as active members of the community.

In 2018, Altrincham proudly won The Sunday Times ‘Best Place to Live’ in the Northwest. The town has also been shortlisted for the ‘Champion UK High Street’. As a local business, we are committed to enriching our vibrant community, so use and support local suppliers, business and services whenever possible.

• Trips to Altrincham Market

Altrincham was established as a market town in 1290 and our market is now an award-winning food and shopping destination. Oakfield is located just a 3 minute walk from the markets. Our children love to visit and buy fruit, vegetables, flowers and local produce for the nursery.

• Visits to the elderly

We believe that strengthening the bond between generations, is of great social importance. Visits to the elderly are mutually beneficial, as old and young enjoy the opportunity to make friends, converse, increase their understanding of the world, sing songs and tell stories. Intergenerational care is a wonderful way to unite our community, through respect, friendship and understanding.
