Apply for a place
We offer both full-time and part-time (2, 3 or 4 day) places. We do not offer sessional care. When a child turns 3, the minimum attendance is 3 days, when three and four year olds are eligible for the Early Education Funding.
As places are limited and demand high, it is recommended that an application form is completed and returned to us as soon as possible in order to secure a place.
Most children are registered while mother is in the early stages of pregnancy. However, some places for older children occasionally become available when existing children leave the area or full-time children reduce to part-time attendance.
All applications will be acknowledged. On receipt of your details, we will examine our forecasts to see whether we can fulfil your requirements.
If we have a place to offer, we will contact you by telephone to arrange a date for you to come and view the nursery.
Acceptance of the place needs to be confirmed in writing within a week of your viewing.
If we are unable to offer you a place initially, we will write and let you know. Your information will then be kept on our ‘Reserve List’ in the event of a place becoming available in the future.
We refer to the Reserve List when a place becomes available e.g. due to parents' relocation. For example, if a 2 year old leaves, we would then look for a 2 year old from the application forms on our Reserve List, to slot into the place. For this reason, the Reserve List does not operate like a waiting list (where applications work their way to the top).
